Societal Readiness Board
Throughout the project, we bring together a diverse group of stakeholders — residents, community organisations, advocacy groups, and local practitioners — to review our work, challenge our thinking, and help steer what happens next.
Be part of it
-
Whether you're a resident, a community organisation, or someone who simply cares about the spaces you live and move through every day — your voice belongs in this conversation.
-
Because the small everyday spaces — the alley behind your street, the pocket park down the road — rarely get a say in how they're designed. We want to change that, and we can't do it without hearing from the people who actually use these spaces: what works, what doesn't, and what's missing.
-
We'll share what we've learned so far, and open the floor for your reactions, concerns, and ideas. Sessions are held under the Chatham House Rule, meaning you can speak freely — what's said stays in the room, without names attached.
-
Expect short updates from the CHESS team, followed by open discussion, and plenty of room for your questions and input to shape what happens next.
-
Let us know anyway — we're gathering input ahead of every session, not just during them.
Want to join or just want to know more?
Reach out — we'd love to hear from you.
Our next in-person gathering will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in December 2026.
Join our first online stakeholder session
We want to hear from you
We are inviting local stakeholders, practitioners, organisations, community representatives, researchers, and anyone interested in the future of neighbourhood spaces to join our first online stakeholder session.
Wednesday 14 October (Online)
from 10:00 - 11:15 (Brussels time)
Where your input goes
Whether you bring lived experience of a space, design and technical expertise, or hands-on knowledge of what works on the ground — your input directly shapes the questions we ask, the measures we test, and the tools we hand to other cities across Europe.
